EMC have released their new interface called D2, which essentially is long-term strategic replacement to the current WebTop technology and provides the user with a Web 2.0 experience. One major advantage of D2 is the ease of configuration. Although Documentum is an extremely powerful platform, developing applications has been down to technical consultants with Java or web services experience. D2 brings a number of common pieces of functionality into the realm of “point and click” configuration.
