With the focus on configuration and less coding, you can deliver case-based applications up to fifty percent faster, at a substantially lower cost and with less resources.
In a typical organization the people with the technical expertise to develop custom business applications are not typically the same people closest to the business processes. xCP gives business analysts the ability to build complex business logic above and beyond just the user interface. Giving people that understand the business processes and logic the ability to design and implement applications removes the natural disconnect between Business and IT. The result is a much faster and less expensive implementation of business process management solutions. EMC plans on releasing xCP version 2.0 in January 2011. Customers are encouraged to evaluate using xCP for new development since new version of xCP will be based on DFS instead of the currently WDK based product.

As mentioned in previous announcements, the end of life for ApplicationXtender version 5.3x was on June 30th 2009. The next update to ApplicationXtender will be version 6.5 instead of the previously announced version 6.0 Service Pack 1. Please make sure to contact Portford to make arrangements to upgrade and ensure uninterrupted support services. The availability of the following software versions have been announced or forecasted.
